Astrobiology Summer Camp

Coming July 2027

Get involved in the search for life beyond Earth. Sky School's Astrobiology Summer Camp brings high school students to the summit of Mt. Lemmon for 5 days to explore the exciting field of astrobiology. Based at the Mt. Lemmon SkyCenter Observatory, participants work alongside University of Arizona scientists to study how life begins and survives under extreme conditions, how we search for habitable environments in our own solar system and on exoplanets, and examine the ethics and future of deep-space human exploration as we seek an answer to one of humanity's biggest questions: Are we alone in the universe?

More information including dates, application process, and camp fees will be available in early 2027.

We charge fees that reflect approximately half of the actual cost of running programs. Through generous private donations we have limited scholarship funding available in cases of need. Please contact us at skyschool@arizona.edu for more information.
