Imagine you discover an intriguing text written using some obscure code. The text is so messy
and complex that it is really hard to read. Well, you don’t have to go far to experience this. Our
bodies are composed of millions of cells, each one containing a copy of a cryptic text that we
call a genome. These genomes are impossible for us to read with conventional methods. During
my studies, I use mathematics and computers to understand the patterns and properties of our
genomes and what they tell us about the way we function.
