Have you ever seen a meadow full of many different kinds of flowers, all open at once in a rainbow of colors? It’s a pretty amazing sight! I am curious how different plants come to live in the same community, and how they interact with one another. Do plants that share a lot of evolutionary history live together? Or do they only live with their very distant relatives? How do they interact with other plants within the community? These are the questions I wonder about, and hope to answer through my research as an ecologist.
