PhD Student, Archaeology
I am an applied archaeologist – which means I like to work with people asking questions about how they lived in their past and bring it to the present! Working with communities we explore how the natural landscape you live in can teach you about yourself and your culture. The relationship between people and their environment creates unique connections that teach and imprint on one another creating distinct archaeological signatures. I love working with communities to study these archaeological sites and re-remember the past in a way that bonds people to their land. My research looks beyond material artifacts to study how our physical landscape shapes our experiences, perceptions, language, daily life, emotions, and identity!
