David Austin

I am a big-time science enthusiast and long-time educator. I started teaching more than a decade ago in international schools in both Europe and Asia, and through that realized that my favorite way to facilitate learning is hands-on, outside of the classroom. At Sky School, I aim to inspire every student--no matter their background, interests, or learning style--to feel connected to their environment through science, the arts, and any other medium that excites their curiosity. I want every student to leave here knowing that they are capable and competent to practice science and seek the truth for themselves. When I’m not running Sky School programs, I enjoy playing ice hockey, mountain biking, trivia, and exploring dog-friendly trails with my beloved pup, Sasha.
