Anastasia has multiple years of experience working in education. From teaching 8th grade English Language Arts to taking high schoolers backpacking in the wilderness she deeply values experience based and outdoor education. Which is why she loves Sky School!
Currently Anastasia also works with Environmental Education Exchange presenting science based curriculum in schools and communities in Southern Arizona. Anastasia has done years of multiple educational contract work, mainly in outdoor and art based education. She has been
the Resident Director of the Grand Canyon Semester at Northern Arizona University, Wilderness Fellow at Armand Hammer United World College in New Mexico and multiple summers of Program Coordination in Continuing Education at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is a Wilderness First Responder and volunteers in Humanitarian Aid/Search and Rescue in the Sonoran Desert Borderlands.
Anastasia will be completing a Masters in Education for the Teach Arizona Program. If you don’t see her at Sky School she is probably in a classroom near you!
